Mindy McKee
Melinda (Mindy) Mckee is an experienced partner specializing in Human Resources including benefits administration and payroll. Over the last 20+ years she has successfully and strategically managed all areas of Human Resources, including establishing Human Resources Departments, reducing worker compensation claims and premiums, improving employee retention, managing recruiting and training. She instituted a fair yet competitive atmosphere for insurance and benefit providers to yield the best prices. She has streamlined payroll, time keeping and scheduling systems for efficiencies of manpower, record keeping and legal issues. She has implemented proven attendance systems utilizing the carrot and the stick methodology. Her strength is analyzing and then setting in place change systems for improved efficiencies.
Mindy's extensive background and experience in the blue collar and white collar work atmosphere provides a valuable asset to companies seeking to develop a positive employee atmosphere by supporting Managers and Supervisors with the confidence needed to act proactively therefore solving their own department issues legally and in a timely manner. Her goal is to set up systems and provide tools that continue to work long after she has implemented them.
Before joining InterLINK, Mindy was the Vice President of Human Resources for McGuire Memorial, a nonprofit provider of services including a school for individuals with severe mental retardation. She was responsible for all facets of Human Resources, HRIS, payroll, recruiting and drug screening, discipline and performance evaluation, awards programs, unemployment, risk management, training, and union negotiations. McGuire sets the highest of standards for client care and grew during her stint from 225 to 500 employees.
Prior to McGuire, Mindy served for over 17 years in the manufacturing industry as a Human Resources Executive. Mindy has successfully negotiated numerous union contracts with the United Steelworkers, International Machinists and Teamsters. She walks the walk of win-win.
As a previous business owner who managed a construction business for 15 years she knows what affects the bottom line. She understands what is important to both the executive and the HR side of business.
Mindy holds the CEBS designation (1998) through Robert Morris classes and the Wharton School of Business. She is active in the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter and a recent past president. She also has attained both the PHR(1997) and subsequent SPHR(2000) certification. She is connected with local HR networking in Butler, Allegheny and Beaver County.
Mindy resides in Beaver County with her husband and sons. Her
hobbies include camping, trail biking, lake kayaking, hiking and snow skiing. She is about half way in attaining a Life Goal to travel to all of the United States National Parks.
