Douglas R. Rosensteel

Douglas R. Rosensteel, President of BHD Technologies, Inc. is an organizational consultant with extensive experience as a practitioner. Specializing in Executive Assistance, his approach to organizational improvement is a unique combination of statistical method, human psychology, lean manufacturing, and systems thinking. He is certified through the Institute of Management Consultants, and carries the appellation Certified Management Consultant (CMC.)

Prior to becoming a professional consultant, he held a variety of positions in industry including Director of Systems Development for a manufacturer of plastic components for the medical industry, where he was responsible for the development of learning and company-wide reengineering. Douglas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the California University of Pennsylvania in 1982. In 1984, he began studying the work of W. Edwards Deming, which led to a yearlong private tutorial with Dr. Gipsie B. Ranney, one of Deming's colleagues. The tutorial focused on Deming's System of Profound Knowledge and Dr. Peter M. Senge's Disciplines of the Learning Organization.

Douglas has worked and consulted in the Textile, Chemical, Healthcare, Metallurgical, Plastics, Travel, Computer, and Food Industries over the past 18 years. He served on the Board of the American Society for Quality and cofounded the Council on Realizing Excellence in Management. In 1998, he founded the organizational consulting firm BHD Technologies, Inc. to help executives improve the performance of their organizations. In addition to many smaller local companies, BHD Technologies counts among its clients major corporations such as JSP International, Hanes Menswear, Hercules Incorporated, H.J.Heinz, Kennametal Inc., Redstone Highlands, and PNC Bank. Douglas lives in Greensburg, Pennsylvania with his wife Brenda and his daughters Hannah and Morgan. He is currently writing a self-help book for executives based on his work in executive coaching.
